TRIBUTE IN HONOUR OF ONE OF OUR EDCDI PATRONS AND SISTERS, Hon Justice Chinwe Iyizoba (née FGN Okoye, JCA RTD), ADADIORANMA — ROLE MODEL DAUGHTER, WIFE, MOTHER, AUNT, COUSIN, NIECE, AND LEGAL LUMINARY
We, the members of the Enugwu-Ukwu Daughters Community Development Initiative (EDCDI), are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of our dear Patron and sister, Justice Ada Chinwe Iyizoba.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to our Executive Chair, Dr. Ifeyinwa Nwakwesi; her sisters, Dame Princess Karenate Egbuson, Lady Uche Obi, and Barr. Joy Ebeledike; the Iyizoba and FGN Okoye families; as well as the Orji Village, Enugwu-Ukwu, and Nimo communities. We pray that God grants them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
Today, we proudly celebrate and honour one of our shining lights, Justice Chinwe Iyizoba.
Justice Chinwe was more than a name in our midst; she was a true embodiment of dignity, service, and love. A brilliant legal mind, she retired as a Justice of the Court of Appeal, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and integrity.
As a daughter, she upheld the values of her heritage with pride, respect, and unwavering commitment.
As a wife, she exemplified partnership, sacrifice, and strength, standing as a pillar of support within her family.
As a mother, she nurtured with grace, compassion, and wisdom, raising children who reflect her admirable character and values.
She was a role model to many , a woman whose life of service, humility, and impact continues to inspire our community and beyond.
Her devotion to the growth of female lawyers and her contributions toward building stronger families and a better society are worthy of emulation.
We also remember her late parents, the legendary Sir FGN Okoye and Dame Monica Okoye, who instilled in her strong, principle-centered Christian values that shaped her and her sisters into impactful daughters and wives.
We have witnessed her role in fostering love and unity within the Iyizoba family, a trait typical of Enugwu-Ukwu daughters, who support their husbands and parents in building successful families grounded in compassion, love, and empathy.
May her life story continue to shine brightly, and may her journey inspire many more women to rise, serve, and make meaningful impact.
We pray that the soul of Justice Chinwe Iyizoba rests in perfect peace, and that her legacy endures for generations to come.
